Dressing Plan

Coloured Version of Dressing Plan
It was a good thing that I already made my own dressing template from the previous project where I grouped them into different sub caterogies, because when I was doing it for this project, I realised that I did not have any lighting fixtures within my room! But at the same time, when I was doing more research into Ming Dynasty Lightings, I realised that they do not have any standing lights. They favour ceiling lanterns instead. To accommodate this, I added two additional beams that run across the ceiling so that the lanterns can adhere from there. However, I am not sure if I like it or not as I blocks the opening into the second half of the room where scholar Macbeth resides. Here are the SketchUp visualisation of it. What do you think? With lanterns or without?

Update: With Overhead Lanterns
While we are at it, I also research a little more on graphics at that time. Since this is a scholar's home, I expect books and probably some of his own calligraphy and writings on the table. However, since I cannot do any hand written calligraphy, (I'll probably outsource that to a Chinese who can actually wield the calligraphy brush with some level of finesse, unlike me), I tried my hand to replicate how a page might look like.

Note that books then are made by wooden printed blocks, therefore all has a box around the pages. They are often tall and thin instead of the usual dimensions of the books we know these days Also the words are read from right to left in a downward motion, as depicted by the blue arrows.

Ps. Please do not pay attention to the actual Chinese characters. I am only mimicking the style. Hehe, and if you are a Chinese or actually understood that...hehe. I was sleepy and I did not know what to write. That is my excuse. ;)
