Bonus (Coloured Model Of A Victorian Parlour)

October 07, 2017

If you are dressing up an existing space to be used as a set for screen (in a film), it is imprudent to consider all these little details as they are some fixtures in the room which you are unable to modify, such a hacking down a wall, removing a powerpoint or removing a heater which is connected to the rest of the house. Instead, you have to find ways to conceal them and make the space as believable and realistic to the set.

This is a 1:25 coloured model of the exact same space you see under WCA House 1 white card  model. Using this enclosed space, I transformed it into a Victorian Parlour. The sofa seen in the last picture is meticulously positioned to cover up the heater found in the room and the dado rail and skirtings are not only used to add to the Victorian interest, but to also cover up the power points present in the actual space.
